Painting 2: The ingredients

Anybody who is slightly familiar with the English Christmas festivities knows the plot: endless rounds of mince pies, cake and booze stretched over several days as if it was the end of the world. As a Peruvian, I used to be overwhelmed with these English piggish qualities, but I have been Nigella Lawson-ised. I now apply her cooking techniques to my painting:
To create a deliciously oozing colour mix, I gently squirt dollops of creamy paint, I then slowly add a buttery gel medium which adds body and texture, gently massage the mix, then in with the glistening honey-like retarder to make your painting session last hours of pure joy, I then sprinkle a deliciously looking powdery pigment to add that extra ooomf to the colour palate.

And if you don’t know who Nigella Lawson is, shame on you.
