Painting 7: Process

I can see already that this painting will take much more time than expected. As you can see from the photo below, each section on all curves will have a distinct colour, so it is going to be very labor intensive to paint. Perhaps it’s because of the golden beige colour I am using, but when I started it, it reminded me of the panelling Frank Ghery uses in many of his buildings, like at the Guggenheim in Bilbao. Not sure if that’s the look I was aiming for, but I do love the building. We shall see what it ends up looking like, as I intend to use some vibrant colours in it.
