Constructing the painting

I was asked how the paintings of big faces I often do were made, the ones in horizontal sections. And because I can never describe this properly, I decided to post some photos which articulate its construction far better than anything I could say about them. The slats are painted on wood, and these are then bolted into a white acrylic plastic back. The edges of the slats are painted in bright red:
